Total number of people in state P = 4879000 × 6%

⇒ 292740

Number of females in state P = 292740 × (5/9)

Total number of people in state S = 4879000 × 13%

Number of females in state S = 634270 × (5/9)

So, the ratio of females of P and S = 292740 × (5/9) : 634270 × (5/9)

⇒ 292740 : 634270

⇒ 6 : 13

∴ Required answer is 6 : 13.
