A metallic sphere is melted and moulded to form conical shaped bullets. If radius of the bullet is twice of its height and radius of bullet is half of the radius of the metallic sphere, then how many bullets are formed? Correct Answer 64

Let radius of sphere = r and radius of conical bullet = R and height of bullet = h.

According to given information:

R = 2h and R= r/2        ----(i)

Also volume of sphere = 4/3 πr3and volume of Conical bullet = 1/3 πR2h

Let the total no. of bullets = y

Now we have, (volume of sphere) = y (volume of each conical bullet)

4/3 πr3= y 1/3 πR2h        ----(ii)

On equating and solving equations (i) and (ii) we get y = 64

∴ Option D is correct answer.
