2000 soldiers can last for 30 days
1 soldier can last for = 2000 × 30 days
After 10 days; food left = 60000 - 10 × 2000 = 40000 units
Total number of men = 2000 - 1000 = 1000
After 10 more days; food left = 40000 - 10 × 1000 = 30000 units
Total number of men = 1000 + 2000 = 3000
Number of days for which the remaining food will last = (30000/3000) = 10
Total number of days food lasted = 10 + 10 + 10 = 30
