Let, total amount Ritesh has = Rs. 30 (LCM of 10 and 30).
∴ Cost of 1 pen = Rs. 3 and cost of 1 pencil = Re. 1
Amount spent on chocolate = 10% of 30 = Rs. 3
Amount spent on pens= 3 × 7 = Rs. 21
Amount left = 30 - (21 + 3) = Rs. 6
∴ Number of pencils he can purchase = 6
