The given bar diagram shows the number of students enrolled in Institutions A and B over the course of 5 years (2014 to 2018). What is the ratio of the average number of students enrolled in Institute B and the average number of students enrolled in Institute A during these years? Correct Answer 151: 125
Total number of students in Institute A = 160 + 280 + 300 + 250 + 260 = 1250
⇒ Average number of students in Institute A = 1250/5 = 250
Total number of students in Institute B = 225 + 360 + 375 + 325 + 225 = 1510
⇒ Average number of students in Institute B = 1510/5 = 302
∴ Required ratio = 302 : 250 = 151 : 125
