Suresh and Sandeep are partners in a business. Suresh invested Rs. 5,000 for 5 months and Sandeep invested Rs. 6,000 for 6 months in the business. How much will Sandeep get out of the total profit of Rs 610 at the end of the year? Correct Answer Rs. 360

Given,

Suresh invested Rs. 5000 for = 5 months

Sandeep invested Rs. 6,000 for = 6 months

Formula:

Profit = Money × Time

Calculation:

Profit ratio of Suresh and Sandeep = 5000 × 5 : 6000 × 6 = 25 : 36

Profit ratio of Suresh and Sandeep = 25x : 36x

25x + 36x = 610

⇒ 61x = 610

⇒ x = 610/61

⇒ x = 10

∴ Profit of Sandeep = 36 × 10 = Rs. 360
