Working 2 hours in a day, P can complete a work in 10 days and working 5 hours in a day, Q can complete the same work in 6 days. Working 3 hours in a day, in how many days both P and Q together can complete the same work?

Calculation:

Total time taken by P to complete the work = 2 × 10 = 20 hours

Total time taken by Q to complete the work = 5 × 6 = 30 hours

Let the total work be LCM of 20 and 30 i.e. 60 unit

One days work of P = 60/20 = 3 unit

One day work of Q = 60/30 = 2 unit

Time taken to complete the work by both P and Q working 3 hours a day = 60/{3 × (3 + 2)} = 4 days
