Let efficiency of Arjun and Bharath be x and y respectively,

According to the question

Total work = 2x + 9y      ----(i)

Also, Total work = 3x + 6y      ----(ii)

From equation (i) and equation (ii)

2x + 9y = 3x + 6y

⇒ 3x – 2x = 9y – 6y

⇒ x = 3y

⇒ x : y = 3 : 1

Total work = 2 × 3 + 9 × 1 = 15 units

∴ Arjun alone can complete the whole work in = 15/3 = 5 days.
