Calculation:
Surface area of sphere = 4πr2
After cutting total area will be area of curved surfaces and the area of plane surfaces,
There will be 4 plane circular surfaces,
So, total area = 4πr2 + 4 × πr2 = 8πr2
Paint required = 2 × 400 = 800 ml
∴ 800 ml paint will be required.
