Given:
Time taken by Sakshi to complete the work = 20 days
Tanya is 25% more efficient than Sakshi.
Formula used:
e1 : e2 = d2 : d1
Where e1 and e2 are the efficiencies of two persons and d1, d2 are the number of days to complete the work.
Calculation:
Let the number of days to complete the work be x.
25% = 25/100
⇒ 25% = 1/4
Let the efficiency of Sakshi be 4x.
The efficiency of Tanya = 4x + 4x × (1/4)
⇒ The efficiency of Tanya = 5x
According to the question,
4/5 = x/20
⇒ x = 16
∴ Tanya will complete the work in 16 days.
