Calculation:

The price of the 3 colour pencil = 3 × 38 = Rs. 114

The price of the 5 pencil boxes = 5 × 64 = Rs. 320

Total price of the 3 color pencil and 5 pencil boxes = 114 + 320 = Rs. 434

As there is the sale of half-price in a shop,

∴ The money needed to purchase is 434/2 = Rs. 217
