Rates of various eatables in a school canteen are given below. One samosa - Rs. 5.00 A packet of groundnuts - Rs. 6.50 One gulabjamun - Rs. 7.00 One dhokla - Rs. 8.50 One bottle of nimbu pani - Rs. 11.50 Sunaina buys one samosa, two packets of groundnuts, one gulabjamun and one bottle of nimbu pani. If she gives a Rs. 100 note to the canteen owner, how much would she get back? Correct Answer Rs. 63.50

Given:

Cost of one samosa - Rs. 5.00

Cost of a packet of groundnuts - Rs. 6.50

Cost of  one gulabjamun - Rs. 7.00

Cost of one dhokla - Rs. 8.50

Cost of one bottle of nimbu pani - Rs. 11.50

Calculations:

Cost of one samosa = Rs. 5

Cost of two packets of groundnuts = 2 × 6.5 = Rs.13

Cost of one gulabjamun = Rs.7

Cost of One nimbupani = Rs. 11.50

Total money she spends = Rs.(5 + 13 + 7 + 11.5) = Rs. 36.5

The money she would get back = 100 - 36.50 = Rs.63.50

Hence the money she got back is Rs. 63.50
