According to the question,

Walking + Running = 11 hours 50 minutes      ---(1)

Running + Running = 10 hours 40 minutes

⇒ 2 × Running = 10 hours 40 minutes

Running = 5 hours 20 minutes      ---(2)

From equation (1) and (2), we get

Walking + Running = 11 hours 50 minutes 

⇒ Walking = 11 hours 50 minutes - 5 hours 20 minutes 

⇒ Walking = 6 hours 30 minutes 

Now, time taken by Ram while he walking both ways = Walking + Walking 

⇒ 2 × Walking
