Name that transient which is produced when a circuit, which is originally dead, is energized.
Name that transient which is produced when a circuit, which is originally dead, is energized. Correct Answer Initiation transient
Transients are defined as abnormal or incorrect electrical patterns such as high voltages or currents. These currents and voltages may exceed the normal circuit behaviour.
Types of transients:
- Complex transients: A circuit is simultaneously subjected to two or more independent disturbances or when the disturbing force is in itself variable.
- Transition transients: Sudden energetic charges from one steady state to another.
- Subsidence transients: When an energized circuit is rapidly de-energised to a steady state of zero voltage and current.
- Relaxation transients: Non-linear relaxation transients are very common in nature and is short time in which transients are generated in terms of continuous fast changes in parameters of the system.
- Initiation transients: When an originally dead circuit is energized.
