When can a student mention the name of the guardian in the records of the board as per CBSE? Correct Answer Only when the name of both father and mother is not known

 The provisions of CBSE for mentioning Parents/ Guardians name:

  • A candidate has the option either to mention the mother's name or the father's name or both into the records of the CBSE (Certificate, Marks Statement, etc.).
  • A candidate, who is an orphan, has the option to mention the guardian’s name in the records of the CBSE (Certificate, Marks Statement etc.).
  • The name of the guardian will be mentioned if the names of either or both of the parents are unknown.
