Let total quantity of the mixture in the bucket be ‘x’ litres.
⇒ Initial quantity of B contained in the bucket = 2x/5
Final quantity of B = (2x/5) – (5 × 2/5) = (2x/5) − 2
⇒ 1/5 = (2x/5 − 2)/x
⇒ x/5 = 2
⇒ x = 10 Litres
Initial quantity of B contained in the bucket = 2 x 10/5 = 4 Litres
