If two-third part of an aquarium is full of water. When we tilt the aquarium in such a way that the water becomes diagonal shape. In this process, 93.5 litres of water is flown out. Find the capacity of the aquarium. Correct Answer 561 litre

Given:

2/3 part aquarium is full.

Concept used:

Diagonal of the cuboid divides cuboid into two equal volumes.

Calculation:

Let the volume of the aquarium be ‘X’.

Water in aquarium = (2/3)X

When we tilt the aquarium, the water becomes the diagonal shape i.e half of water left and 93.5 litres of water flown out.

⇒ (2/3)X – 93.5 = X/2

⇒ 2X – 280.5 = (3/2)X

⇒ -280.5 = -(X/2)

⇒ X = 561 litre

∴ The capacity of the aquarium is 561 litre.
