Given:
P ∝ q when ‘r’ remains unchanged
And p ∝ 1/r when q remains unchanged
Calculation:
p ∝ q and p ∝ 1/r
Then, p = k(q/r)
Putting the value of r = 4, p = 10 and q = 8 then
10 = k(8/4)
⇒ k = 5
Now, When p = 15 and q = 9
Then, p = k(q/r)
⇒ 15 = 5 × (9/r)
⇒ r = (5 × 9)/15
⇒ r = 3
