Concept Used:

Calculation:

1° represents = 3000/360 = 8.3

boys and girls who appeared in the examination from institute S are 11x and 12x

11x + 12x = 82.8 x 8.3 _______(1° = 8.3)

⇒ 23x = 687.24

⇒ x = 29.88

boys and girls who appeared in the examination from institute T are 5y and 4y

5y + 4y = 54 x 8.3

9y = 448.2

Boys appeared in the exam from institute S = 11x = 11 x 29.88 = 328.68

Girls appeared in the exam from institute S = 12x = 12 x 29.88 = 358.56
