- Under Section 4 of Chapter II of this act, it is mentioned that, Whoever, being a public servant but not ST/SC member, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than six months but which may extend to one year if he wilfully neglects his duties.
- Section 5 of Chapter II says that if a person is convicted a second time for the same offence under this act, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of not be less than one year but which may extend to the punishment provided for that offence.
