The given table shows the number of students and their class. Division A students are scholars who get a 25% rebate in fees. In addition, all girls students get 40% subsidy. If the fee per student a year WITHOUT rebate or subsidy is Rs. 10,000, then find the total fees collected from the students of these 6 classes for that year. Calculation:

Boys of division A = 20 + 40 = 60

Girls of division A = 40 + 20 = 60

Boys of division B = 40 + 20 = 60

Girls of division B = 35 + 40 = 75

Boys of division C = 20 + 20 = 40

Girls of division C = 20 + 15 = 35

 Now,

25% rebate of fees in Division A

40% subsidy to girls

Fees of boys of division A = 60 × 10000 × 75% = Rs. 450000

Fees of girls of division A = 60 × 10000 × (100 - 25 - 40)% = Rs. 210000

Fees of boys of division B = 60 × 10000 = Rs. 600000

Fees of girls of division B = 75 × 10000 × 60% = Rs. 450000

Fees of boys of division C = 40 × 10000 = Rs. 400000

Fees of girls of division C = 35 × 10000 × 60% = Rs. 210000

Total fees of boys and girls = Rs. (450000 + 210000 + 600000 + 450000 + 400000 + 210000)

⇒ Rs. 23.2 lakh

∴ The total fees is 23.2 lakh.
