The baryon is a- Correct Answer K - meson

Concept:

Quark: A quark is a type of elementary particle and a fundamental constituent of matter.

Composite particles:

  • Subatomic particles are made of more than one quark.
  • Simple particles like protons are actually composites of multiple quarks.

Basically two types of composite particle: Leptons and hadrons.

Laptons: These are the particle which does not affect by the strong force.

Hadrons:

  • A hadron is any particle that is made from quarks, anti-quarks and gluons.
  • These are not elementary particles. They are made up of further elementary particles namely quarks.

Hadrons are again classified into two categories: Meson and baryon.

Difference b/w Meson and Baryon:

Meson Baryon
These are the hadron particles that are made up of quark and anti-quark pairs. Hadron particles which are made up of three quark namely quarks, anti-quarks and gluons.
Examples of mesons are the p, h, r and w mesons. Examples of baryons are protons and neutrons.
These can have a spin of +1, 0 and -1. These can have a spin of +3/2, +1/2, -1/2, -3/2 i.e.
integer multiple of spin quant quantum number: Boson Boson particle. These are also called  Fermions.

Explanation:

π -meson: These are also known as pions which are the lightest of all meson.

K-meson:

  • These are also known as kaon.
  • It has zero electric charges, and its mass is about one-half the mass of the proton.
  • It is unstable and, once formed, rapidly decays.

μ- meson: These are also called muon which is an elementary particle with a negative charge and a half-life of 2 microseconds

From the above discussion, we can conclude that baryon is similar to K meson.
