If a trial wavefunction has been changed once, and the new variational integral is smaller than the previous one, what should one do to proceed? Correct Answer Keep changing the wavefunction in the same way
If the variation integral is getting smaller, it means the ground state energy is converging to its true value. Continuously performing these steps will reduce error in the calculated ground state energy. Putting this in a loop on MATLAB could automatically solve this.
