Sanjay went 70 m in east before turning to his right. He went 10 m before turning to his right again and went 10 m from this point. From here he went 90 m to the north. How far is he from starting point? Correct Answer 100 m

As per the given information;

[ alt="F1 Pooja Madhuri 21.10.2021 D1" src="//storage.googleapis.com/tb-img/production/21/10/F1_Pooja_Madhuri_21.10.2021_D1.png" style="width: 416px; height: 345px;">

AO = 70 - 10 = 60 m

OB = 90 - 10 = 80 m

Distance between starting and endpoint (AB) = √(AO2 + OB2)

AB = √(602 + 802)

AB = √(3600 + 6400)

AB = √10000

AB = 100 m

Hence, Sanjay is 100 m away from his starting point.
