Lecture
  • This method refers to the explanation of the topic to the students through oral presentation of information, principles, concepts, ideas.
  • The emphasis is on the presentation of the content.
  • The teacher clarifies the content matter to the students by using gestures, simple devices, by changing voice, change in position, and facial expressions.
  • Teachers are more active and students are passive but the teacher also asks questions to keep the students attentive.
  • It saves time and also covers the syllabus. It is the simplest method for teachers and does not require any arrangements. 
Collaboration
  • It is a method of teaching and learning in which students team together to explore a significant question or create a meaningful project.
  • A group of students discussing a lecture or students from different schools working together over the Internet on a shared assignment are both examples of collaborative learning. Hence, the main idea is sharing experiences, ideas and attitudes
Discussion
  • The discussion method of teaching is a group activity involving the teacher and student to define the problem and seeks its solution.
  • It is also described as a constructive process involving listening, thinking as well as the speaking ability of the student.
