Diameter of circle = 1.6 m

Polishing rate per m2 = Rs. 12

Formula Used:

Area of the circle = πr2

Diameter of circle = 2 × Radius

Calculation:

Diameter of circle = 2 × Radius

⇒ 1.6 m/2 = Radius

⇒ 0.8 m= Radius

Area of the circle = πr2

⇒ Area of the circle = 3.14(0.8)2 = 2.0096 m2

Cost of polishing per m2 = Rs. 12

⇒ So, Cost of polishing 2.0096 m2 = 12 × 2.0096 = Rs. 24.1152

∴ The approximate cost of polishing is Rs. 24.
