Consider the Question and two Statements given below : Question : Is x an integer? Statement-1 : x / 3 is not an integer. Statement-2 : 3x is an integer. Which one of the following is correct in respect of the Question and the Statements? Correct Answer Both Statement–1 and Statement–2 are not sufficient to answer the Question

Option(4) is correct.

Statement-1 : x / 3 is not an integer : False, for x = 6 , x/3 = 2 which is integer, so this statement is false.

Statement-2 : 3x is an integer: False, for x= 1/2 , 3x = 3/2 which is not an integer.

Therefore both statements are false.

Hence, the correct answer is an option(4) i.e., Both Statement–1 and Statement–2 are not sufficient to answer the question.
