- Any linear bilateral network can be represented as a current source IN and resistance RN in parallel with it.
- Norton’s current is nothing but the short circuit current across the load I.e. short the branch resistance through which current is to be calculated.

- Norton’s resistance is the equivalent resistance across the load after removing all the independent sources, i.e. short circuit the voltage source and open circuit the current source.
