If for integers a, b and c, HCF (a, b) = 1 and HCF (a, c) = 1, then which one of the following correct? Correct Answer HCF (a, bc) = 1

Given:

for integers a, b and c, HCF (a, b) = 1 and HCF (a, c) = 1

Calculation:

Two numbers are said to be co-prime if they share no common factors other than 1. The common factor of these numbers is always 1

∴ integers a, b and c should be co-prime only .i.e for example Let a, b and c be 2, 3, and 5 respectively

⇒ HCF (2, 3) = 1 and HCF (2, 5) = 1

so, HCF (2, 15) = 1

∴ HCF (a, bc) = 1
