In power supply regulation, to achieve a linear power supply:
- A step-down low-frequency transformer is required, as the input voltage and frequency is high.
- A linear voltage regulator is required such that the voltage across the load does not vary and in this voltage regulator transistor should operate in the active region so that the desired amplification is achieved.
