The digit in the unit’s place of a three - digit number is thrice the digit in the ten’s place and the digit in the hundred’s place is twice of the digit in the ten’s place. If the sum of the three - digits of the number is 12, what is the three digit number? Correct Answer 426
Let, ten’s place digit = x
∴ Unit’s place digit = 3x
∴ Hundred’s place digit = 2x
According to problem,
⇒ x + 3x + 2x = 12
⇒ x = 2
∴ Hundred’s place digit = 2x = 4
∴ Ten’s place digit = x = 2
∴ Unit’s place digit = 3x = 6
∴ The 3 digit number = 426
