The L.C.M of two numbers is 30 times their H.C.F and sum of LCM and HCF is 4030. If one number is 780, what will be triple of another number? Correct Answer 1950

Let HCF be x

Then LCM = 30x

LCM + HCF = 4030

⇒ 31x = 4030

⇒ x = 130

LCM = 30 × 130 = 3900

Product of numbers = LCM × HCF

⇒ Other number = (130 × 3900) /780

∴Triple of other number = 650 × 3 = 1950
