A, B and C entered into a partnership. A invests 6 times as much as B invests and B invests four-third of what C invests. At the end of the year, the profit earned is Rs. 9300. what is the share of B? Correct Answer 1200

Let C’s capital be Rs. x.

According to the problem,

B’s capital is = Rs. 4x/3

And A’s capital is = Rs. 6 × (4x/3) = 8x

∴ Ratio of their capital = 8x : 4x/3 : x

⇒ 24x : 4x : 3x

⇒ 24 : 4 : 3

∴ B’s share = 9300 × (4/31) = 1200
