Statement 1: 'The last day of the month is Sunday.' 
We cannot conclude what day was on the 14th of a given month because we don’t know whether the month is of 30, 31 or 28/29 days. So, statement 1 alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

Statement 2: 'The fourth Saturday of the month is 25th.'
We can conclude what day was on the 14th of a given month. The third Saturday of the month will be on the 18th. So, on 14th , the day will be 'Tuesday'.
