Lutisone Respirator Suspension side effects

Eosinophilic conditions, adrenal insufficiency, growth retardation, Cushing's syndrome, decreased bone density, cataract, glaucoma. Rarely, psychological effects.

Patient with active or latent TB; fungal, bacterial or systemic viral infection; cataracts and/or glaucoma; untreated localised infection of the nasal mucosa. Patient with untreated cutaneous infection, rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, perianal/genital pruritus, pruritus without inflammation. Avoid abrupt withdrawal when switching from systemic to oral or orally inhaled corticosteroid. Moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Children. Pregnancy and lactation.

 

Category C: Either studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the foetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not available. Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus.

Fluticasone propionate Inhalation Aerosol is contraindicated in the primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute episodes of asthma where intensive measures are required. Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of these preparations contraindicates their use
