Flomyst 125 HFA Inhaler uses for
Fluticasone Propionate Inhalation Aerosol is indicated for the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy. It is also indicated for patients requiring oral corticosteroid therapy for asthma. Many of these patients may be able to reduce or eliminate their requirement for oral corticosteroids over time. Fluticasone propionate Inhalation Aerosol is not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm.
Inhalation/Respiratory: Asthma prophylaxis:Adult:
- As powder or aerosol inhaler: 100 mcg bid in mild asthma, up to 500,000 mcg bid in severe cases.
- As nebuliser solution: Severe chronic asthma: 500,000 mcg bid.
Child (46 year):
- As powder or aerosol inhaler: 5000 mcg bid, increased to 200 mcg bid if necessary.
- As nebuliser solution: 1,000 mcg bid.
Symptoms: Suppression of adrenal function
Management: Gradually reduce the dose.
