i. The SI unit of density is derived as follows :
Density = \(\frac{SI\,unit\,mass}{SI\,unit\,volume}\)
= \(\frac{kg}{m^3}\)
= kg m-3
ii. CGS unit of density : g cm-3
[Note : The CGS unit, g cm-3 is equivalent to \(\frac{g}{mL}\) or g mL-1.]
