(i) Given cartesian coordinates are `(1,-1)`
For r to be positive ,
`r=sqrt(x^2+y^2)=sqrt(1^2+1^2)=sqrt(2) and tantheta =(y)/(x)=-1 `
Since the point `(1,-1)` lies in the fourth quadrant , we can choose `theta=(pi)/(4)`.
So, polar coordinates are `(sqrt(2),-pi//4)`.
Thus the possible poalr coordinates are `(sqrt(2),-pi//4)`, another possibility is `(sqrt(2),7pi//4)`.
(ii) Given Cartesian coordinates are `(-3-4)`.
