Correct Answer - A
Vitamin-D (calciferol/antirachitic factor) mainly helps in Ca/P balance in the body fluids. It increases absorption of calcium from intestine so, it is necessary for formation of healthy bones and teeth. Deficiency of vitamin-D causes increased loss of `Ca^(2+)` in urine, so no `Ca^(2+)` gets deposited in the bones. This cause rickets in children and in pregnant women it causes ostemalacia.
