The magnetic field in a plane electromagnetic wave is given by `B= (200 (mu) T) sin [(4.0 xx (10^15)(s^-1)(t-(x/c))]`. Find the maximum electric field
The magnetic field in a plane electromagnetic wave is given by `B= (200 (mu) T) sin [(4.0 xx (10^15)(s^-1)(t-(x/c))]`. Find the maximum electric field and the average energy density corresponding to the electric field .

Average energy density corresponding to electric and magnetic field is equal which is given by
`mu_(av) = (1)/(4) epsi_(0)E_(0)^(2) = (B_(0)^(2))/(4mu_(0))`
Substituting the values,
`mu_(av) = ((200 xx 10^(-6))^(2))/(4(4pi xx 10^(-7))) = 0.008 Jm^(-3)`
