\(\therefore\) Total number of legs of x cows and y chickens = 4x+2y
According to given condition, we have
4x + 2y = 2 (x+y) + 14
\(\Rightarrow\) 4x + 2y = 2x + 2y + 14
\(\Rightarrow\) 4x - 2x + 2y - 2y = 14
\(\Rightarrow\) 2x = 14
