Why do you think you see a full image of yourself when you look at the mirror but you cannot see a reflection of yourself when you look at the book?

Mirror is a polished surface which reflects light. Reflected light when produced backwards intersect to produce the image whereas book is a non-reflecting surface so no image is seen.
