Given, perimeter of square plot = 360 m
∵ Perimeter of the square = 4 x its side
∴ 4 x side of square = 360 m
⇒ side of the square = (360/4) m = 90 m
(i) The area of the square field = (side)²
= (90 m)²
= 90 m x 90 m
= 8100 m²
(ii) Cost of fencing at Rs 40 per metre
= 8100 m2 x Rs 40 per metre
= Rs 324000
(iii) Cost of levelling at Rs 60 per m²
= 8100 m² x Rs 60 per m²
= Rs 486000
