(a) Sterilisation : It is a permanent method of contraception, for people who don't want more children, or any children. It works by stopping sperm from meeting an egg.

(b) Sedimentation : It is the tendency for particles in suspension to settle out of the fluid in which they are entrained and come to rest against a barrier.Settling is the falling of suspended particles through the liquid, whereas sedimentation is the termination of the settling process.

(c) Loading. It is a administration of a substance for the purpose of testing metabolic function.

(d) Aeration:  It is the process by which air is circulated through, mixed with or dissolved in a liquid or substance. Aeration is used in liquids, soils and foods to improve quality and reduce contamination.
