(iii) The smog which is formed in the presence of sunlight is called photochemical smog. This occurs in the months of summer when NO2 and hydrocarbons are present in large amounts in the atmosphere. Concentration of O3 , PAN, aldehydes and ketones increases up in the atmosphere. SO2 is not responsible for photochemical smog.
