Acid fog is formed, which is difficult to condense.

Actually it can .This is the way sulphuric acid is produced.First they burn Sulphur to produce Sulphur dioxide(SO2) then the So2 reacts with more oxygen to produce So3 and they react the So3 with sulphuric acid and water mixture to yeld more Sulphuric acid .The reason they dont dump the So3 in pure water is because the reaction is very exothermic and explosive so they use a solution of H2So4 and water instead .
