(i) The iron chest did not contain gold, silver or jewels as the jealous governors had assumed but an old blanket. 

(ii) The shepherd always carried the blanket with him because it was his oldest friend and would protect him if ,at any time , his Majesty decided to take away his post and power. 

(iii) It is an example of the shepherd’s humility as well as wisdom because even after he was appointed the governor, he still remained a humble and a wise man.
