(b) Recently Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Governments signed a memorandum of understanding for the linking of river Betwa and Ken. Both Ken and Betwa are the triburaties of Yamuna. According to the proposal 1020 million cubic metres of will be diverted from Ken Basin in a link canal that will be 231 km long. The canal will tranverse both states to provide irrigation and drinking water.
