If a client requests timestamping every two minutes, you will have to opt for a periodic timestamp. Such timestamps are used for raw video footages and when timestamps are not very frequent.

In the given scenario, the timestamp is placed next to the word that is said after two minutes. As a result, the timestamp can appear anywhere in the file. It can also be at various places in between the dialog to be transcripted.

In transcription, timestamps are markers which indicate when the adjacent text was spoken. They are in the format [HH:MM: SS]. HH is hours, MM is minutes, and SS is seconds from the beginning of the video or audio file.

There are different kinds of timestamps like periodic timestamps, paragraph timestamps, sentence timestamps and speaker timestamps.

Periodic timestamps appear at a consistent frequency. They can appear for every 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 2 minutes.
