State the laws of reflection.

Laws of reflection are: 

→ The angle of reflection is always equal to the angle of incidence. 

→ The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal to the reflective surface at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane.

I^st law:  the incident ray the reflected ray and the normal drawn at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane. 

II^nd law:- angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection.

1. Angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection. 

2. The incident ray, the normal drawn to the mirror at the point of incidence and the reflected ray all lie on the same plane

(a) The incident ray, reflected ray and normal to the reflecting surface all are coplanar (ie. lie in the same plane).

(b) The angle of incidence i is equal to the angle of reflection r. i = r
